My Coolest Skateboard

When I was 16, I went to a meet-and-greet with the Zoo York skateboard team at Uprise. The guys were awesome and easy to talk to. After chatting a bit, Danny Supa offered me his board. I was in shock. That was one of the most purely awesome moments in my life. I had him sign it, along with other pros Harold Hunter and Zered Basset.

The board's graphic is an awesome tip of the hat to "The Warriors", one of my all-time favorite films.
The back of the board takes on a more somber tone.
It's a stenciled graphic of the World Trade Center with "NYC" emblazoned on it. I met these guys a mere week after 9/11. They were proud New Yorkers, and this was how they expressed themselves.

Danny Supa and Zered Basset continue to kill it, from what I gather.

Harold Hunter passed away a few years ago.
He drew this on my shirt.

He's remembered every year with his own skateboarding day in New York. I would say, go catch his cameo in the movie, "Kids", but that's a tough flick to stomach. Enjoy some old school footage, instead.
