Cooley High

The name of this blog is aped from the 1976 flick, Cooley High. The movie is a coming of age story, focussing on young men in the now defunct Cabrini-Green housing projects of Chicago. It is a classic American tale; it deals with hope, family, betrayal and tragedy. It's also a sort of time capsule, capturing ghetto life in Chicago during the 70s.

It features an early Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs (Joseph Jackson, Freddy "Boom Boom" Washington) and Glynn Turman (Mayor Royce, The Wire).
